Izaro snapshoting, lab times and portal to izaro
Is snapshoting Izaro before the first phase intentional, if not can we please get it fixed(delay Izaro until the 2nd pedestal begins to rise). A damage check or challenge to make it quicker is great but the only way to snapshot him is mines.
If loading screens are still calculated into lab completion times please change it to put players on an even playing ground. If both of these issues are fixed then portal to Izaro may not be as bad, but the portal to Izaro destroys lab racing especially if more than 1 can occur in an run. A clarification on the portal mechanics would be great, i know the portal can spawn in a gold door room but i did 30-40 runs never seeing it in the room before, where in the gold room i had it spawn at least 3 times. I would love to see the actual time in rooms to compare my 2nd place time to 1st. Thank you for fixing queen of the forest movement speed, i would like you to consider putting in a speed bump for movement speed builds, the movement skill damage circles are quite harsh. Edit Snapshotting izaro is killing him the instant he rises from the center allowing the player to skip the rising of the 2nd pedestal in some phases, there is a window of less than 1 second maybe 1/10 of a second to deal enough damage. I can confirm snapshotting Izaro is intentional - people have been complaining about it since the start of the labyrinth and GGG has commented on it several times, yet it hasn't been changed.
They've also said that making the labyrinth timer not count loading screens is too difficult to implement, so that probably won't get fixed either. It sucks. |

This is how speed running works. Every second you can take off of glitching/animations/loading counts. You either play these kind of builds and go though the motions required to compete or don't. It's not going to be fair for everyone which is why nobody really cares about it. The lab was never really designed well enough for this in mind.

Agree that lab race is poorly implemented and should get fixed to even the field.
(The portals I dont mind myself though.) Far as I remember (from some reddit post) the "insta kill Izaro to skip phases" is unintentional. Edit: The portals fit with the grinding and RNG nature of the game. You get rewarded by luck. And more persistence increases the odds. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
