(not a bug) Soul of Lunaris with Lycius doesn't work against Magma Orb
Lycius gives "Avoid Projectiles that have Chained" stat. Since Magma Orb is a projectile and it chains, one would assume that you would avoid damage after the first bounce.
I have tested this in PvE scenario against Sanguine Sisters (which are quite dangerous due to this since they spawn in tight packs and use their abilities all at once without any global cooldown) and in PvP scenario and every bounce of Magma Orb can deal damage to you. I'm pretty sure that the bounces of that spell are not technically "chaining" in the same way that the pantheon means - it refers to the effect of the chain support gem (or spell intrinsics) on projectile attacks after the first chain. Magma Orb just bounces a few times as part of the native spell. Presumably if supported with chain it would then start bouncing again after hitting the first target or something.

It just bounces 2 more times when supported by chain (hitting the ground 5 times along the same line at gem level 20). What I'm getting at is that it has the projectile tag and chaining tag so for all intents and purposes it's a chaining projectile.
On top of that, Gloomfang amulet appears to work with Magma Orb's chain, adding more and more chaos damage between each bounce. I don't think current behavior is consistent so I thought I'd bring attention to it. IGN: NNQQ, Sporkay, Rands_

Chance to Avoid Projectiles stats prevent projectiles colliding with you. It does not stop you getting damaged if a projectile damages you in some way that doesn't involve colliding with you, such as exploding near you.

Okay, that makes sense. So even Fireball and Arctic Breath can damage you if they explode nearby.

Yeah. The fireball won't hit you, but if it passes through you and hits a wall behind you, you'll still be caught in the explosion.
