Unable to Gain Power, Frenzy, or Endurance charges with Shaped Shield

Hey there.

So at first I thought this wasn't a bug because I was trying to use the Red Nightmare jewel to gain endurance charges on my Hierophant that uses totems. I thought that maybe because it wasn't self cast you weren't allowed to gain endurance charges. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I played self cast and was able to get charges, then switched to totems and now I can't.

I was okay with that and the general idea of having a totem and not being able to rack up endurance charges due some semantics about self cast or not, but my problem lies in something that shouldn't affect totems in the slightest.



So I have this shaped shield. I also have about 75 block with rumi's and about 50 some odd % spell block chance. I'm using tempest shield and so I can see when I'm blocking, but I'm not getting any charges. No endurance, no power, no frenzy charges.

Is this somehow tied to totems? Is it like built in the code or something that if you use totems you can't use charges? Because this needs to be fixed as block has nothing to do with my totems or self cast or any of that.

And if Red Nightmare is still able to give endurance charges to totem builds, and not due to self cast semantics, that needs to be fixed as well.

Red Nightmare works with totems just fine. Like any other on-kill effect, if a totem gets the kill, the totem gets the endurance charge. And totems have a maximum of zero endurance charges.

I havent tested with nothing else. It's getting quite late over here and need to head to bed (1Am)

I made my profile public, but this is only temporary. I get harassed on the forums for my character builds, so I prefer to keep them private.

Let me know, would be interesting to see why it's not working.

As for Red Nightmare, I see its self cast semantics, so just the shield I'm worried about now.

So does anyone have any information as to why I'm unable to generate charges on block?

You guys have a legitimate bug here if there is no reasonable explanation.

Seems to be working as intended at the moment. I'm not sure why it wasn't working for me before.

If anyone also has this problem, all I did was remove the Ancestral Call Keystone and it worked for me. After adding Ancestral Call back everything seemed to work as intended.
