Unofficial PoE guide (courtesy of Amazon)

I came across this book while browsing on Amazon.

It looks shady aka cash grab considering the content/writing is terrible. It is also Prime eligible and sold by Amazon.

Has anyone bought it? Thoughts?

Write up a PDF and put a nice cover on it and publish it on Amazon for a buck. Might pay your bar tab that way.

Also... anyone with Kindle Unlimited can see if and tell you if it sucks or not. My bet is on the former. Looks like a money grab with bad writing. Amateur publish job. Anyone can publish a book digitally these days.

This guide covers topics such as helpful settings, picking a class, hidden master quests, ascendant classes, Vaal areas, and a walkthrough of the first 4 Acts (which will minimize spoilers).

Book is advertised as a guide for 3.0 yet it only covers pre-3.0 content. Sounds like a pretty amazing book. Also it's already like 1.67 patches behind and has about 12% of the info that the Wiki has.

It's not great. It's a brief overview of the game mechanics, classes, skill tree, etc. followed by a very rough walkthrough of acts 1-5 followed by a message that you now have all the knowledge you need to take your character through to the endgame and whether or not your chosen build is viable.

In my browser, it's 36 pages. 19 side-by-sides including the cover and blank final page.

It is very clearly a cash grab and contains nothing in the way of actual advice beyond what you can find on the wiki for new players. It doesn't tackle anything a new player might find daunting or truly difficult.

0/10 am glad I have Kindle Unlimited and didn't have to pay money for it.

It does cover act 5 in the walkthrough but that's it.
