Help with Sextant Blocking Maps

In Grimro's video on Sextant Blocking, he mentioned that you shouldn't use red Sextants.

I'm confused because my Shaped Vault Map is now a red map, and I need to use red sextants on it, right? Also, some of the maps I need to use Sextants on, in order to block my Vault Map, are red.

Seems like I will need to use quite a bit of Red Sextants here. So why does he say I shouldn't ever use them?

I am sextant blocking vault now. I def used reds to maximize blocks.

And I def use a red on vault every 3 maps. Don't know why the person would recommend not doing that.
