I wonder about the "Black Sun Crest" Helmet since forever.

The Nazis poached mythology and symbolism all over the place. From Norse to Roman to Indian. Then they stitched the resulting gibberish together into some esoteric Frankenstein and called it original (do not steal). They really don't deserve any credit for this shit. In fact, they should be discredited and all stolen symbolism be reclaimed by the original cultures. The Nazis shouldn't keep them tainted (and tabooed) with their name.

would we speak about the swastika, i would be at your side. but this case is special. there is no "missused" orgin to the wewelsburg-wheel. or lets say in this case there is a far bigger gap between somthing that could the orgin to this symbol and its incarnation as "black sun".

a other point is that the real mystification of the symbol started after the fall of the reich. there isnt any nazi-lore about it, it was just a decoration for a single place.

It's not Nazi imagery, it's Roman.

can you show me your roman black sun? as i know you can find similiar symbols in india but they have a other name and stuff.

as i know the first use of the black sun is the ornament on the wewelsburg in germany.
the symbol is even called "wewelsburg wheel" and shows 12 "siegrunen", one for each gauleiter of the reich at the time. the use in esoteric circles started in the 50's by people telling themself fearytales about a ancient and spiritual backround of the symbol. but other than the wolfshook or svastika the black sun is a fantasy symbol inventetd in the ns.

but i would be happy to learn something new from you,
best wishes, *

Im responding to person #9001 in your thread that is claiming oriath in general is nazi, sorry for the confusion.

The black sun is just a pagan/mystic symbol like the swastika they claimed. Hitler had some weird fetish for the occult. But im not going to sit here and be some nazi apologist defending them, they are authoritarian scum no better than communists, socialist, fascists etc... All left wing, alt-right is a terrible term for a white nationalist movement, their arguments for individualism are pure sophistry trying to fold people in who don't want anything to do with white supremacy.

Bottom line is why does it matter if an IP features extreme political philosophies? Lets say Oriath is a national socialist empire. Why would matter? Is Oriath jerked off by the lore as this amazing place we should all aspire to? And what of democracy, dictatorships, free-market capatalism, anarchy, republics, communism and socialism etc...? What if the karui were extremely racist and killed anyone outside their tribe?

Come the f*ck on, we all know this is just SJW virtue signalling trying to erase anything right of chairman Mao.

So again tell us, why does it matter?

Political spectrum is Authoritarian/collectivist on the left to Individualism/liberty on the right. The left uses force (the state) and the right wants as little force or no force at all.

Most western countries today are just a bit, or quite left of center, the closest things we have to a real rightwing movement would of been very early USA especially the western frontier, and ironically enough Liechtenstein's current monarchy.

It's in the state's best interest to let people think modern day conservatives are "right wing", and racist/unlikable groups like nazis for the polarity. You wont learn about anything that could threaten state power in public school (set up and funded by the state by force, attendence made mandatory by the state, regulated curriculum by the state...) Why would they let kids think they are alternatives, and anyone against government ran education (indoctrination) is labeled some kind of anti-education monster who wants kids to grow up stupid as if the state is the only and best provider there of.

Something that has been bothering me for quite some time now is the item Siege Helmet, which is ortographically very close to Sieg Heilmet. Coincidence? I hope so, but seeing this thread I dont think it is

Yeah, ggg are known racists /s

And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.
the name isnt what catches me, its the mixture of name and look of the helmet:

We get it. You're obsessed with Nazi imagery. There's some in the game. Get over it.
what triggers my about this item is the point that it gives the symbol a pseudo-historical backround. sure, some nazi-pulp-fiction is part of fantasy-storys since forever and i have no problem with that. but this item is something other than time-lost, dino riding, evil-wehrmacht or oriath uniforms. it takes nazifanfiction and reproduces it without a wink of critic or contextualisation.
