[3.2] CI ST/BF HoWA, still ass kicking! Shaper/Guardian/Uber/Elder etc

[/quote]This looks like Titan HoWA, completely different build to be honest :)

Oh wow! you are very correct! I look stupid now!
I've been looking at this build recently and wondering about some adaptations that could be made. I'm not sure if they're any good, since I haven't started building yet (still in pob phase), but I wanted an opinion on this.

The core idea is this: kaom's roots + Iron Reflexes gives stun immunity and turns all the evasion into armor. That means that Jugg/Occultist can be dropped in favor of slayer for culling strike + overleech (which is pretty huge, right?). You could take it further and use all 3 elemental resistance flasks for 81 all res to combo with the 20k+ armor. Depending on damage, Grace could even be an option.

It sounds kind of silly and I'm not sure if it even makes sense. can anyone do a sanity check and tell me what they think of it? First build I've tried to edit to this degree, but I don't have the tools to test it out atm.
There's only one problem, Slayer leech doesn't work for ES :)

You can still take Iron Reflexes if you prefer, I find evasion coupled with Blind very helpful, but on the other hand I've never played a high armour build. But I don't think with Jugg endurance charge generation + Immortal call there is a need for armour anyway :>

Oh that's tragic. Thanks for the input. I'm thinking of pocketing this build as a project for next league, so I might try it out at some point. Though without the overleech bonus, it's kind of just like playing a watered down CI jugg or something, lol. Probably best to just take occultist and appreciate the +1 curse without having to go out of the way for stun immunity.
How u get 8 k es on 9ex build? ;o
Sorry for late response.

Shopping list:
Spoiler

2x 11% int HoWA - around 40c for both.

3x Fertile Mind and Brute Force jewels with 23 Int - around 20c for all 4.

14% Cyclopean - 5c.

92-94 attributes Astramentis - 20c.

Shaper's Touch - 3-4c.

6L 470-550 ES Regalia with some resists and/or Intelligence - 1.5-4ex - http://poe.trade/search/isigisaniyahuo
The one used in PoB is listed for 3ex with appropriate colors already.

160+ ES boots with resists and/or Intelligence - 25c-1ex - http://poe.trade/search/okukiakarutaka
In pastebin I'm using the ones listed for 40c.

220+ ES Hubris with resists and/or Intelligence - 30c-1ex - http://poe.trade/search/bebokoakimobot
In pastebin I'm using the ones listed for 70c.

I've used this parameters to find rings, can be refined a lot more: http://poe.trade/search/gohonikanonoba
Picked 11 and 20c rings.

Total: 230c and 3ex, which is around 5.5ex spent if you also count the flasks. There are no jewels in the pastebin apart from uniques so you can get more ES there. https://pastebin.com/06bhKmBD
7.8k ES at level 90, and 8.5k ES with a mix of Abyss and normal jewels with ES (34 flat or 7% respectively).

Pastebin is almost resistance capped but would need to balance them out a bit more, this is something I threw together in around 10-15 minutes.

Key to finding good pieces is going by how often you are going to replace something. For example, at any given time, there are going to be hundreds of thousands of rings on the market, but not as many 6L ES based chests.
So, buy your 6L and spend enough so you won't be changing it anytime soon, if you have only 7ex budget, spend 4-5ex on your chest - even if your other pieces are crap, you can upgrade them after you farm some more.
Then do the same for boots, get a decent pair and pay up to 1-3ex.
People pick up helmets more often due to how item filters highlight them, so again, they are a lot cheaper/easier to upgrade since it's going to be easier to find upgrades with resists you need later.
THE EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE IS IF YOU HAVE HELMET ENCHANTMENT, since then upgrading your helmet will be more difficult.

The best/last place to fix your resists if you are changing any bigger item (like Regalia) is rings, since there are so many of them and they are usually very cheap if they don't have life. I must have had like 30 different rings in Abyss but only 3 different chests (a 5L, then a 460ES 6L, then higher ES 6L), only 3 pairs of boots, 2 helmets (second one with enchant). A very good ring can cost only 5c but will allow you to buy higher ES regalia that has cold res instead of fire res that you need, for example.

leveling with this atm, got frustrated with the survability on the leveling and the overall damage, it might be worth noting that its entire possible to pick up VP and ghost reaver early if you have even 700 ES , if you are using some life gain on hit method such as theifs torment, as the life leech is useless with that item and the ES leech will act as greater effective HP. Also frost blades is just a lot less janky and better clear for leveling, ST felt kinda clunky :(

Hi, thanks for the nice build and very decent and detailed guide!

I'm looking to play your build, but I'm absolutely adore HoI explosions and probably can't play without them at all :D Is there any chance that I'll be able to shatter enemies reliably, and what will be the cost of doing that in terms of DPS/ES?
How do you think this would fare for the flashback race? It seems like most of the items needed to just start out wouldn't be too ridiculously expensive, but would it really work out alright to start out on something of a budget?
