Arakaali Sprite Bugged
Hi, I just fought Arakaali on one of my characters and a little bit into the fight (I think it was after the first or the second time she switched corners) her sprite stopped moving at all for the entirety of the fight. The lasers along the side continued firing. I'm not sure whether she continued doing her close-range attacks or not-I did take damage once or twice without seeing the cause but it may have been lag or one of her adds. Whenever she switched corners, rather than there being an animation, she instantly disappeared and then reappeared in one of the other corners. She didn't move at all during the Silk animation, either - instead he just floated through thin air over to her while she remained completely immobile.
While I'm here, I might as well mention the Avarius/Innocence fight. The hitbox on Innocence's beam seems extremely buggy. Often when there is an immobile statue only barely between me and him (visually blocking maybe 10% of the beam) the beam will be completely absorbed and not damage me. However, if I move forward a bit to put the statue completely between us, the beam will then travel unhindered through the entire statue and damage me even when it definitely should be absorbed. The last time I fought him, I also had a situation in which there were two immobile statues near each other with a small space (approximately 2/3rds of the width of his beam) in between, me on one side, and Innocence firing his beam on the other. Visually, the beam went through the space between the statues and washed over me, but I took no damage. Also, the beam just generally seems to be wider than the hitbox would indicate. One of the hardest aspects of PoE for me to get used to was that most effects care about the circle on the ground where the "feet" of the enemy are placed, and do not adjust for visual orientation when you move "up" the model. So, it is annoyingly easy to, eg, shoot to the left of a mob by targetting over the model ... which doesn't actually stand there, just looks like it does because of the camera angle.
What you describe with the statue positioning sounds like the same thing that annoys me there so much. I'd be very, very happy for PoE to start paying attention to what model my cursor is over, rather than the absolute angle of it compared to my character, for where it sends the attacks. (Double-plus annoying when the spell "beam" is raised, because it doesn't map to what it hits natuarally either.) |
