Volatile Dead, 40% damage - Lab Enchant.

I currently have 104,000~ tooltip DPS with my VD, I purchased a helmet with 40% Increased VD damage thinking it would blow through the roof. To my surprise it granted me a total of 1000 dps increase.

According to my character panel it grants me 520-880 something spelldamage; from 10052-14960 to 10622-15809.

Since the # additional corpse enchant is 400c+ it wasnt really an option.

Is the 40% only increased on the gem itself? The 535-802 damage. Because.. Well.. Why does the enchant even exist if thats the case. Seriously no damage increase what so ever

Same as always, all Increased/Reduced-type modifiers are additive. This is why 10% Increased Damage on the tree isn't super busted.

this is certainly not possible because that would mean you already have around 4k increased damage.

the enchant is similar to three point damage cluster.

If you read their follow-up elaboration, they clearly indicated that their per-hit damage increased by around 5% (rather than their exaggerated 1% increased from the opening paragraph).

Which lines up much better with a dps-focused tree and gear.
