The two wisdom scrap innovation was the brainchild of the Goddess Thread folks. I should scour the history and credit the single person who came up with it, but I like to see it as a collective effort.
The sword is 6L because its weaker forebear needed a recipe to make it, and it was expensive as hell. To take 6L away from the replacement would be sacrilege. The only problem is it's currently far too common. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. " Technically I'm pretty sure it was me (I might have said 3 wis scraps), but FCK42 was the one who mistakenly thought TGU didn't vendor for a Divine and thereby planted the idea in my head. I'm not creative enough to have come up with that without his input. So yes, very much a collective effort. And yeah, 6L I saw as part of the whole Unleashing process; TGB and TGS limit you to 3 fewer sockets than a maxed-out build normally gets, but Unleashing Her gave you a pseudo-blank slate with which to burn your enemies. Unfortunately, now that the idea's out there, I have a slight suspicion GGG may be willing to commit "sacrilege" in the name of balance, now that 6L isn't that much in line with OG's design philosophy. Do Twilight Strand. DO NOT ENTER LIONEYES WATCH. Go outside PoE, wait for TS to reset. Go again into Strand, clear, kill Hillock. Do again, and again and again. DO NOT LEAVE Twilight Strand. Profit. |

I eventually got one at level 7 with a scion. When you meet uber-Hillock, he will be a lot tougher. I immediately knew something was different when I hit him 2-3 times and only dinged him for less than 10% health. So my suggestion is to keep track of how many hits you need to kill normal Hillock. At level 7, rush straight to Hillock and knock him down to 50% health. Do not bother killing him if he is normal Hillock.
Also, now that I finally got one to drop, can I farm for a second one with the same char or do I have to start another farmer char to get a second oni goroshi? |
