Elder/Shaper items - what's the fuss about?

Thanks for sharing your experience, I changed the post so that it doesn't incorrectly state that you cannot reroll. I actually managed to get some of the new affixes there with few more Alts.

And yes, you don't go spamming chaos on that like a madman, I only did a few to test this behaviour out :)

So all in all, these new items are not something common player will get to use in SSF. Looks like they are reserved for hard farmers and richest players in standard.

I've tried some chaos spam, because unlike I_NO I like to try things myself, do things myself and achieve things myself. Haven't made anything awesome, but I've made this one which is kind of nice for my backup Warchief totem while leveling:

I'm a filthy trading softcore scrub, and I'll farm and trade a ton of currency until I can spam and master craft my perfect shaped items (or buy them from others, but it's unlikely someone would just happen to have a 10-20+ ex item for sale (which is my estimation of the value of perfect or close to perfect rolls), but it should be craftable within that or a similar amount of currency).

Needless to say I'll get every single other item for my build before going for the perfection. Non perfect items can be bought aplenty, no need to craft for those.

The nice part about these items is, that I've spent 48c on getting Shav's, but only roughly 20-30c for a 6L (counting changing almost all my socket groups and buying other items to replace the missing resistances). The link isn't ideal, but before 3.1 I would have had to spend around 9 ex more.

with how powerful these items are and how clueless some people are as to power of said items I wouldnt be surprised if someone made 2k exalts already by flipping less than 200 items.

mainly whats insane is the prefixes for things like rings and belts.

life gain on spell hit limited to cybils paw ? no problem, lets make it a prefix on rings, what can go wrong ?

flask effect was reduced across the board for the last few leagues ? no problem, lets put it on as a belt prefix

I have no clue wtf GGG been smoking this league. power creep is absurd and theyre getting the playerbase USED to this level of powercreep.

Adapt or perish. I'm considering the later.
