Shaper Mod: '% chance to shock on block for 4 seconds' shock value?
Wiki says: Shock damage increase scales relative to the amount of Lightning damage dealt to the enemy's maximum life. Increased damage from shock is capped at 50% at 10% of the target's maximum life dealt by Lightning damage, scaling down to 0% at no damage. Hits below the minimum threshold of 1% effect are discarded,[1] effectively requiring a hit of 0.2% enemy maximum life."
So... How does this shock work? A Block does no damage, so how much is the enemy shocked for? Is this mod worth it? Last bumped on Dec 19, 2017, 11:58:04 AM

"Other non-hit sources of Shock and Chill, unless otherwise specified in the debuff, will increase damage taken by 20% and slow by 10% respectively." -sauce. :)

" Alright, thanks. Now, different question. 20% taken, is that different than increased damage? (Is it = to 20% increased dmg or more dmg?) |

Damage Taken indicates a modifier on the defender-side, as opposed to the attacker-side Increased Damage. This means it's part of an entirely separate calculation step from your modifiers:
-Hit a dude -Calculate Damage dealt (Increased Damage) -Send to defender -Calculate Damage taken (Increased Damage Taken) Being an Increased-type modifier, it's additive with any other Increased/Reduced Damage Taken modifier the enemy has, such as Vulnerability or Fortify. Being a separate calculation, it's effectively multiplicative with your Damage multipliers. |

" Alright, thanks. Seems worth it, just gotta hunt the right shield now. |

Just depends on whether your block chance is sufficient to shock reliably and whether you deal hit or dot damage.
