Map bosses are just decorating their hideouts. When you see these statues just type in: "Nice hideout decorations" and if the map boss replies "Thanks" you'll get extra loot. Usually the map bosses won't thank you. It isn't that they are being rude, so much as they know you plan on killing them, so being polite to the player doesn't make much sense.
