Best gaming mouse around $50

The contour has a wired and a wireless mode. 10 precision settings and 6 programmable buttons. Just sayin'

Razer DeathAdder.

It's really not just hype, sponsorship and advertisements that praise this mouse. It's professional gamers as well. Thousands of them. Those numbers don't lie and my own experience is included.

High quality build.
Not too heavy.
Very smooth and precise movement.
Not too small or uncomfortably big. (Don't say it...)
Comes with software to change precision, speed and various other misc. things to your prefs.

Highly recommend it, even if slightly over budget. (Price around $70 USD)

Also for gaming, don't go wireless. Just don't.

Why not? I use the G403 Wireless and its fantastic, I've seen pros use it too. Has 30+ hours battery life and recharges on the wire so you can keep playing if you really need to (I just recharge it at night every now and then). People that know their mouse tech say there is really no difference in precision anymore either.
Logitch G602, wireless, lasts over a month, only $40, and the time it takes for a signal to travel from your head to your fingertips is slower than the latency of the mouse
Honestly, the Diablo 3 mouse.

I would always recommend the Logitech G303 since it has one of the best sensors on the market and you can usually find the mouse as low as $15.

But if you want a mouse that is good for all kinds of games and not just FPS. I suggest the Zowie FK1+

I personally use this mouse and it has a great sensor, one of the best.

But if you need something to just do the job while enjoying the smoothness of a great sensor then the G303 is your best bet.
G600

The (and the razer/corsair clones) only last about 2 years of heavy use before going to shit wither with right double click or numpad buttons dying. But they are amazing for what they do, and it really helps with spamming flasks and having easily accessible binds for things.

G600 is the cheapest, but i rate it better than naga at around 50 bucks. The corsair is a bit more and might be better idk.

Razer death adder works for a lot of people. I am a retailer and I have access to any mouse but I always the death adder.
i don't know why but razer makes very small mouses. It doesn't fit my hand. For me best fit is logitech mouses higier tier.
This depends on hand size and you should try them out. I went though tons of mice before I found one I liked. I have really small hands so things people were recommending were too big even from same company like from Steelseries I hated the Rival (big) and love the Sensei (small) gaming mouse. I finally settled in on Sensei gaming mouse and have bought 3 in case they discontinue it. I'm not gonna go through that perfect mouse hunt again.

Logitech G502. I’ve literally tried every other mouse from high end to low end in search of the perfect one. Also, Logitech’s mouse division is world renowned. Seriously.
