1. You misunderstood CoC. You need an attack which has to crit in order to autocast the skill. However, whether or not the triggered spell actually procs the orb of storm effect, that I do not know.
2. If you use life leech support or warlord's mak on the enemy or any other kind of leech that works with lightning spells, then yes, it will give you life back. I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

If the attack has the lightning tag, then it should work (example: lightning strike, static strike, lightning arrow). I don't know about triggered spells though.

So I tried googling it for you.
According to reddit, anything that you don't cast directly won't trigger the extra lightning from orb of storms. However, also according to google, the extra lightning from orb of storms should cause a 'hit' and leech life for you. Last edited by Bleu42#4018 on Dec 7, 2017, 12:30:58 AM

thanks Bleu42
only directly cast/spell can trigger |

OoS tooltip says "skill", not "spell", so it will most likely work with attacks as well. Hmm, I'll have to test triggering that with quill rain, though I doubt I'll get 10 procs per second as easily as with the new lightning tendrils. Could be an option for a Soul Strike caster though; I was planning to do that eventually.
