Blast Cascade + Sunblast can still generate power charges?

Vid is from almost a year ago though. Looks like if there is a monster standing on the trap when it arms, it can still trigger the power charge gain from Blast Cascade. Can anyone confirm?

This would have implications for Tinkerskin as well, I guess.

If the trap you throw is triggered before its SUnblast-reduced duration is up, then it acts like Sunblast doesn't exist. It's effectively a perfectly ordinary trap, and activates "chance when Trap Triggered" modifiers as normal.

That said, the 'Traps triggered" requirement for Tinkerskin and such triggers me. Would it have been so god damned hard to say "when your trap is activated instead of using the 'Triggered' event, so that Sunblast Grenadiers weren't locked out of eighty-goddamned-percent of all trap-related gear?! If you're not going to introduce actual Grenade skills (which could be a legit super cool skill type that they haven't given us because they did much clumsier and less useful TRAPS instead), and then you introduce stuff to let players kludge your Trap system into being grenades...LET US USE TRAP MODIFIERS ON OUR TRAP SKILLS INSTEAD OF SAYING "Here, you can use Traps this way, but if you do every other Trap item or passive in the game is going to stop working for you"

I mean Sunblast + 2 Cheap constructions, for 100% reduced duration.

Apparently traps with 0 duration still check for triggering enemies first before their duration ends. But the video above doesn't use Cheap Construction, it seems to use Lightning Warp's built-in reduced duration to cover the gap. Maybe that makes a difference, idk.
So I dusted off my old Saboteur to try this out. Can confirm: with a Sunblast, 2 Cheap Constructions, Chain Reaction and Blast Cascde, you can generate power charges with any trap skill by throwing traps at enemies' feet.

Incidentally, having to go through the entire campaign to get back your skill points is fucking stupid and GGG should feel bad.
