3.0 marauder cyclone weapon choice

I am currently on a build and now I am rethinking my weapon choice. Can anyone who has the time discuss with me why two-handed is better than onehanded with shield, or whether to go mace or sword or ax.
I am currently going mace for the stun but am slowing my roll for advice. Thank you in advance
