Do germs gain tags from linked gems?

Do germs gain tags (e.g. Lightning, Spell, Duration, AoE, Chaining) from linked other linked gems?
E.f., if I link Orb of Storms with Curse On Hit Support and Flammability, does Orb of Storms then also counts as a Fire skill?
Meaning, will said Orb of Storms together with Hrimnor's Resolve makes me immune to Freeze for a few seconds?

No.

(They can gain supportability, or at least could before 3.0, in some niche cases, most famously Melee Splash granting area of effect so that Increased Area of Effect becomes eligible. But supportability and gem tags are not the same thing, which Mark_GGG has confirmed on several occasions).
