My Star Wars dream would be an Old Republic trilogy with Sith protagonists culminating in the Jedi-Sith War and establishment of the Rule of Two.

Lets hope theres a lot of doing it justice in there and they go light on the run it into the ground and bury it where it fell mentality.


Is it true the guy who did bladerunner 2049 is directing a new dune? I heard that 'on the street' but nothing official has crossed my path, I kind of avoid all the places that would tell me because theyre usually just sick with spoilers, clickbait headline diarrhea shoved in your face telling you some revealed plot twist to a film that isnt even out yet for all those kids who like to ruin films for themselves before they go to watch them.


Starwars was my first love and Ill always have a soft spot for it but I feel like both starwars and star trek have a bit of that old school goofy thing going on thats always going to hold them back a bit. Dune on the other hand is an absolute monster of a book series, at least the 6 herbert ones which is all ive read, so im kind of glad to see someone go back to it but still not convinced you can ever put dune on a screen and do it right. Its too weird, its too much about whats going on in peoples heads, theres not enough blowing stuff up to shift tickets.

I wish someone would pick up babylon 5 and do that thing again, babylon 5 was legit, imo that show blew star trek out of the water all day.

I wasn't aware that shit writing could acquire two Hugo Awards (among others). Both episodes written by JMS, who wrote about 84% of the series. I don't know many of the other writers of the series, but I wouldn't call Neil Gaiman a shit writer. I'm not sure I'd like to see B5 redone, and Crusade wasn't that impressive to me, but I see B5 as a masterpiece. I would hate for someone to ruin B5, but if it were to be done exceptionally well it would be very hard to turn down. "Soul Mates" is easily one of my favourite and most memorable episodes.

Instead of getting so many remakes, I would love to see Wheel of Time done to Game of Thrones' production standards.

I'm not sure what to think of all the new and upcoming Star Wars movies. I love the original trilogy but consider Lucas' prequels and the majority of his edits to the originals dogshit, as our resident T.rex would say. In fact, didn't Jar Jar step in little bits of Lucas' script from time to time? I mean, there's shit writing, and.. ugh.

Disney seems to be doing alright with the new movies so far. They aren't spectacular, but I'm optimistic. How Disney is allegedly treating the cinemas though is disturbing.

I've been down on Star Wars since I had my heart broken by The Phantom Menace, but I'll admit, the trailer for TLJ has got me pretty hyped.
