The Caged Brute not updating when Brutus is killed

Playing solo as a low level Templar with a Spell Totem spamming Frostbolts. Totem killed Brutus while he was quite far from my character (around the edge of the screen). Looted him, vendor'd some stuff in town, went back through the portal and noticed the quest hadn't updated.
Character is Frost_Tickles in SSF Harbinger HC. Killed Brutus about 21:40 GMT.

Edit: This is odd... I think either going to Prisoner's Gate or using the /recheck_achievements command fixed it. Not sure which one - sorry! - but it has updated for me. This has happened again.
# 1,065,206,742 The chat command /recheck_achievements doesn't do anything. The quest updates when you enter Prisoner's Gate, not when you kill Brutus. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
