Connection issues from any server

I can successfully create my character but when I attempt to join the world or load any of my old characters, I'm met with 'Failed to connect to instance' after about 20 or 30 seconds of waiting at the load screen.

This is my first time attempting to play since 3.0 and have never had any issues whatsoever prior. Any ideas?

Okay, I resolved this one on my own.

So, Diablo 2 and Path of Exile both share port 6112. I had 6112 forwarded to a machine on my network that I played Diablo 2 on over TCP/IP.

If this is searched out through the web -- if you play Diablo 2 over TCP/IP, disable that port forward! :P
