lol, Necropolis boss.
" My only problem with Beyond-stacked maps is that the game can't handle it. Pretty sure anyone would die to that when your game freezes. |

I did it on start of league on lvl80ish frost blades char, which had following stats :
2.5k hp 0 defences, unless you count 4 quicksilver flasks and 1 hp pot as defences some evasion, around 30-40% to evade, but it doesnt work against this boss spikes only movement skill - whirling blades and mediocre dps, around 50-80k (not tooltip, tooltip was around 20k) It took me 0 deaths and around 1-1.5 mins of hitting him with frost blades on rare map for atlas fill My point is, he is perfectly doable, if you can handle it and know his behavior, even if you can get 1 shot in the process Spreading salt since 2006

" the game most definitely can handle it. there are lots of players running double beyond maps. |

" Is your computer low tier or something? Double beyond's a joke in terms of peformance even with PoE's shitty ass optimization. Dys an sohm

" Saunchung flask doesn't work it's not a bleed. The necropolis boss has a unique physical dmg debuff similar to bleed from the bone prison but its not bleed its just a dot that you take while standing in it. Yea, you need to swap in flame dash or leap slam against this guy, doing so makes the entire fight trivial. He only casts the debuff when he uses the bone prison, so when he uses it, jump out of the prison and you'll be fine. Not doing so makes the fight unwinnable. I don't think any build can tank through the damage since Armour makes no difference, and you can't out leech the damage even with vaal pact because the guy starts moving to dodge your attacks... I remember the same thing happened to me the first time I fought him, then I figured out the pattern and the boss was a joke after that. Live and you learn lol. Now the temple boss is another story... I still haven't figured out how to deal with that guy so I dodge him. He's absolutely insane on a shaped version, way more difficult than the unshapen in shaper realm due to how small the arena is. I only shaped the map because I like the layout and didn't know where else to use the orb since I already shaped other maps I liked. |

Hmm I wasn't aware that phasing allows you to walk thru the barrier. If that's the case then phasing flask might be better than changing gems presuming you can kill the boss before flasks run out.
Yes necro boss is one of the bosses who have a unique mechanic that you don't understand or know about until you fight and die to him. Other bosses I'm thinking of are excavation, I had no clue how the barrier worked until I died 2x,and that sea witch boss with the damage beam, I think torture chamber was the map? Other honorable mentions: wolf boss from lair/dark forest, goddess boss from plaza, high gardens boss for melee chars, and waterways boss for people that instagibbed themselves to the reflect form. Oh, and vaal temple for all the bros that thought that leaving the girl last would be easier cuz she's a girl XD |

Some parts of the game need fixing, yes.
This is you having a shit character or just being stupid and whining. Being successful in this game actually means using your brains. |
![]() |
Yes I have a shit CPU. But I don't feel like PoE should be above its grade... And yet, at times, it really is.
" I don't think you get my point. If my character is shit because it doesn't use a single specific type of mobility, then that's the game pigeonholing its players, which is terrible design. And we already know it pigeonholes for a few things already. |
![]() |
" it's not pigeonholing because all you have to do is swap a gem out, or use a specific flask for the encounter. If you think it's a design problem that you don't want to adapt for different encounters, then that's on you and nobody agrees with your logic. |
