Notes on running POE on Liquidsky via Parsec

I've been playing POE maxed out on Liquidsky's Pro tier using Parsec for IO rather than Liquidsky's default client. I'm not seeing any mention of this technique on the forums, so I thought I'd jot down some notes about it. It works really, really well, essentially stable 60fps 1080p without much noticeable latency at all and only minor visual artifacts. I'm near Seattle and Liquidsky's closest data center is in San Jose (USA). Using an alternate Parsec hardware provider with servers closer to you you could probably bring latency down even more, but it's already completely playable. Here's a rough outline of how to do it: https://parsec.carrd.co/. Note the desktop cursor issue. The suggested fix isn't fully working for me, so that's something I still need to figure out, but the in game cursor is fine. It's also important to know about Parsec's configuration options: https://parsec.tv/config. What's somewhat confusing is that the server and client are the same application, but configuration options that affect quality and latency are generally client-side. I've been using Parsec's "Balanced" setting.

I'm not affiliated with either company; I'm just a POE fan and was pleasantly surprised with the result. Locally my GPU is not really up to the task (GT 750m), so it makes the game much more enjoyable. I do have a decent CPU on my client and a decent internet connection (I'm using a 2014 Macbook Pro Retina). It's unclear to me what the lower bounds on client performance are; it'd be interesting to hear if you have success with even lower end hardware.
