[Passive Wording] "Cannot be affected" vs. "Immune" to Elemental Ailments
|
Looking through Passives and I realized the Inquisitor's "Pious Path" passive and the Raider's "Avatar of the Veil" grant similar protections (I think?) yet use different wording. Is there a substantial difference between the functionality of these two passives? Is it fair to say that those with "Pious Path" are immune to elemental ailments when in consecrated ground?

There is indeed a very relevant difference:
To be immune is to ignore the ailment altogether - the status does not show up. To be unaffected means to suffer the ailment, but at 0% effectiveness. This occasionally pops up on the Bug Reports subforum with regards to Whalers; the Shocked Ground effect still shows up, but with no real effect, which confuses people sometimes. The difference is relevant when considering "while Shocked" modifiers, for example. |

Thanks for the reply! I knew there must be more to it.
