Cast While Channeling + Lightning Warp

Hi,

When using the link Blade Flurry + Cast When Channeling + Lightning Warp + Critical Strikes (and nothing more), Lightning warp triggers half of the times.

This would be understandable if the Lightning Warp takes longer than the Cast When Channeling cycle. But is not the case.



I perform minimum distance jumps (30 units)

I Have 22% movement speed (-8% lost from armour). 67% with flasks.

Applied to the base movement speed 36 units/s, i have 43,92 u/s or 60,12 with flasks.

The duration for the jumps should have a base of 0,68s or 0,49s with flasks.

With 64% reduced duration (and no increases from tree), this should result in 0,24s or 0,18s with flasks, which is lower than CWC cycles (0,37s).

You might argue that CWC is not using the reduced duration, but even adding a quicksilver to the mix and a lvl 1 CWC (to be below the threhold of 1 cycle), it still only triggers half of the time.

You might argue that the enchant is a second spell, but trying the same setup in a tabula rasa still triggers only half of the times.

Swift Affliction and Less duration doesn't help either.

You might argue, that skills with cooldowns are problematic and that GGG stated somewhere that they know and intend to update the system, and won't patch something that will need to be redo again.

Please fix it.

After messing a little with AHK I managed to get an aproximate idea of what's happening:

-With the current setup, listed before, without flasks.
-If I channel for 380ms I can do the first jump. Though is inconsistent.
-If I channel for 400ms I can do the first jump consistently. I blame ping for this.
-If I channel for 400ms, stop and start channelling immediately for 650 ms I can do 2 jumps consistently.
-If I channel for 400ms, wait 250ms and channel for 400ms I can do 2 jumps consistently.

As listed before, my jump time was 240ms.

What I think happens:

The CWC countdown for the cycles resets on position changing.
Maybe the game thinks you stop channeling if you teleport, but is not correct...

Are you accounting for Lightning Warp's 0.1 second delay between casts?

I thought that was a minimum duration, anyway: (0.24+0.1)<0.37

I got margin for a 130 delay without flasks, and 190ms with linked flasks. I even tried adding a quicksilver for still more margin, and the result is the same.

Thank you for your reply. What is a "Valued Poster"? Can I assume that GGG knows about this bug? (though, what I really would like to know is if GGG considers this a bug or not...)
That's not a minimum duration no, it's an actual delay after the warp itself has occured. Just making sure; didn't have a great amount of time last time 'round, hence the terse question. (often wander the forum in-between matters)
