isn't Rogue Exile Ulysses Morvant a bit overpowered?

Tier 10 Zana mission. burned through my 5k life.
I tried to out-leech his damage but he just kept spamming and killed me in less than 3 seconds.

negative Chaos Resistance is not a good starting point for facing him, sure.
but why does he do SO MUCH damage with an "element" most characters cannot max-res, and spams it instead of having some kind of telegraphed "big chaos slam"?

I've never had many issues manually dodging his ED. Contagion doesn't hurt too bad even in T15 versions of him.

To be fair though, like you said, most players don't maximize chaos resist and ED is not one of the fastest meta speed clearing builds now, but it is efficient for what it does. So it kind of makes sense for Ulysses to take up the mantle that Xandro used to have.

Xandro had a fear factor by being equally dangerous for melee and ranged.
just when you thought you're not within range of his spam - he leaped on top of you.
still does sometimes.

I can snipe Ulysses with my Ranger while manually dodging and spell-dodging his projectiles, or put a wall of skeletons and zombies in his face with my Witch, to absorb the damage.

as melee though, even as broken as Berserker, he just spams you point-blank until you die.
and I didn't even have Wither on me because I kept Cycloning out of it.
his projectiles just do way too much damage on their own.

Hmm. Will have to see for myself. Admittedly have no high level experience with him point blank with anything you can consider melee.

I've only had problems against him when Chaos resist has been hard to come by.
So frequently. XD

Poor Ulysses doesn't get on too well with my Necro's minions - he doesn't even get the chance to run away any more ;)

With my melee toons, I hunt him down and facetank him. He doesn't like that either.

NB: The first time that I came across him (melee toon), he killed me. Never again.

Its currently the most dangerous exile in the game. The other exiles are a joke.

Can you block ED? I never had any trouble vs him even with constant -60%chaos res in high maps.

Yeah, without chaos resists you are fucked (I had a flask and some resists because of my ES build, but dear god it hit like a truck).

There is always a scary rogue exile out there and then it's nerfed. I just wish some rogue exiles were a little harder.

It's pretty much impossible to be hit by him in an open area, you just run circles around him... Maybe I am a bit biased though as some of my characters in this league do damage literally by moving and scaling movespeed.

He definitely does quite a lot of damage when he does hit you though. But being a very predictable dot you just use heal over time flask to mitigate like 80% of it and hit an instant flask as you dip lower. If you get wither stacked I guess you'll take a lot more damage but even at -60 flasks should almost cancel it.
