Can't get to T6 on the Map

I've been grinding maps 1-5 for 20 or 30 hours and 6 just doesn't drop.
I have the Spider Forest location on my map surrounded with a purple aura but there's actually no button.
Did I screw something up in shaping or something?
Instructions in the wiki aren't too clear on this.

Purple circle means there's a shaper's orb in that map. There is no screwing up shaping. Some people just take a lot of effort to min/max their atlas. I just fill mine out as I get the maps.

Edit: you can't get T6 maps to drop from T1 to T3 maps. Magic monsters can drop +1 tier to the map you're in and rare/unique monsters can drop +2. So not many monsters in a T4 map can drop a T6 either.

If you have lots of lower tier maps, use the 3 for 1 vendor recipe to get the next one on the atlas path. I think there are only 3 that don't trade to a higher tier map. You can get T6 maps by trading in 3 of the same T5 maps.
