Question about "Onslaught Support" with Totems

Are buffs a shared resource between player and totem (like indicated on Wiki) or are they tracked separately?

Examples:

1. How does "Onslaught Support" work with Totems? If my Ancestral Protector (totem) is linked to "Onslaught Support", who/what gets the buff? The player, the totem, both?

2. How does "Fortify Support" work with Totems? who/what gets the buff?

Wiki makes it sound like buffs are shared between player and totem.

According to Wiki https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Totem
"
Totems cast by players use their skills according to the player's stats, including modifiers from charges and buffs (like auras) affecting the player.

In practice it seems like buffs are tracked separately. From my observations, Totem + Fortify Support seems to buff just the totem, not the player.

I can't tell how it's supposed to work from the skill descriptions or Wiki.

The wiki specifically states that Totems uses the player's Buffs for (most) offensive stats - meaning, not their own.

Totem gets the kill -> Totem gets Onslaught. Totems use your stats, not their own, so it's kinda pointless. Fort's pretty fine if you want them to be tankier.
Okay, I thought they were tracked separately. The Wiki description is just confusing or wrong.

Fortify and Onslaught are "Buffs" according to Wiki, which is what makes this confusing.

It would be helpful if a sentence was added to Wiki which mentions that Buffs are tracked separately for players and totems.
You're skipping half the sentence there. It says "including modifiers from charges and buffs affecting the player." It never mentions using Charges/Buffs on the Totem itself.
