Vorici crafting question

I was wondering if by using vorici crafting it would be possible to hit a 5 link using the "4linked sockets mod" or a 6 link with the 5 linked sockets mod.
The real simple question is does this craft via vorici stop all other link combinations other then the one specified by the craft? Last bumped on Sep 19, 2017, 9:59:54 AM

You can only hit what the craft calls for. So no, it's isn't possible to hit a 6 link by only spending for a 5.

" Not strictly: a six-socket item can roll 2L when you mastercraft it to a 4L :P It will never become a 5/6L though. When determining sockets, the game follows the 6L order and checks "does this socket form a 6L? No -> 5L? No -> 4L?" etc. As such, when Vorici starts (and ends) it at the 4L stage, the linking logic has already skipped the 6/5L step. Last edited by Vipermagi on Sep 19, 2017, 10:00:09 AM
