[3.0] Unholy Punisher - the way of deadly killer.

[3.0] Unholy Punisher | Jaggernaut | 1.150.672 DPS | Virgilant Strike | double curse | facetank every Harbinger boss.


The idea of this build is to be very tanky and super deadly with not so expensive gear.

TOOLTIP


My dps with full buff is over one milion: 165k * 6.94 attak / sec.


Mechanics

The Virgilant Strike melee skill has a highest base dmg possible at it's cost of 4 sec cooldown. To deal with that we can bypass this cooldown only with endu charges and that means, the faster we regain them, the more dmg we will deal. The best way to get those endu charges is a Jaggernaut class (30% Chance to gain endu when hit). So this is the most important thing to understand here that if we don't have endurance charges, we will probably do nothing. But there are few options that let us it will never happens. The first is Bringer of Rain that has 20% Chance on block to give endu charge. So it's also important to notice that we want around 50% block Chance or even more. Another way to get endu is warcry. We use Enduring Cry every moment that we lose all charges and we can get even max charges per use due to "Unrelenting" ascendancy. Warlord's Mark is another way that provides a 40% chance to grant endu charge on kill so there is a basic rule to play this build - killing is the way to be a conqueror.


PROS

- very tanky (using a shield) and ultra safe with shield charge skill
- Unstoppable so you can do Temporal Chains mod
- possible to get 90% physical reduction so you can do vulnerability mod or physic reflect
- possible to run ele aura and to do ele weakness mod also
- chaos resist is: 8% and with Atziri flask even more: 43%
- tons of life regen so making a uber lab is a joke
- whispers of doom, the way of punisher that you want to be, right ?
- free 6L from BoR
- blind even on bosses that lowers theirs chance to hit by 50%
- total 77% of physical dmg gained as extra (!) CHAOS DMG
- the more enemies arounds you the more damage you will deal to them
- super deadly for boss fight like Colosseum Map even with "no leech" MOD (yes, the place where chickens dies instantly and you are the only one gladiator that stays there alive)
- life build


CONS

- requires some skill usage when need to refresh virgilant strike cooldown manually
- hard to deal dmg on bosses like ones that prefer to strike ONE BIG (OMG) HIT and no trash around like this nasty MuD Gyser Map
- not recommended for new players or those that don't like to press many keys
- not recommended for shaper farmers that prefer to use cannon glass builds
- melee build, requires some boss and mod maps knowledge
- build works only with Jaggernaut class, so any other will just suck


ITEMS THAT YOU MUST HAVE

To become Unholy Punisher and be able to clear most of maps you will need Bringer of Rain, Broken Faith and Ming's heart:

around 1 alch each. Those are the only epick items that you really HAVE TO buy. For the weapon choice I would recommend: Scaeva Gladius just for a good start.


ITEMS THAT I RECOMMEND

this one costed me 16 ex and the 200% of leech as chaos dmg is absolutely awesome and worth of any price for most melee buuilds that rely on leech.
with 5% reduced life and highest chaos res possible and that can be around 15 chaos.


GEMS / LINKS

Using BoR means we have an extra 6L combo built in: 1) melee phys 2) faster attack 3) blind
so:
helmet 4L: virgilant strike -> multi strike -> chance to bleed -> melee splash
melee splash use on map clear and swap for ruthless on boss fight
chest: WHAT ? WHAT CHEST ??? You are Unholy Punisher, you don't need a chest.
gloves 4L: shield chargé -> faster attack -> ancestral warchief -> flame golem
boots 4L: blood rage -> enduring cry -> tempest shield -> purity of elements
shield 3L: blasphemy -> warlord's mark -> punishment
weapon 3L: reckoning -> vengeance -> ripostę
sweap weapons: leap slam (keep it for Necropolis boss), rallying cry (more dmg if needed), determination (for physiccal boss or vulnerability mod), life gain (swap for melee splash if needed), arctic armour (swap for punishment when need more defensive)

Any jewels with:
- melee dmg
- atk speed
- max life
- block Chance

TIPS

- Use shield charge as a move skill
- use two aura with blasphemy: Warlord's Mark and Punishment for most maps clearing
- use enduring cry when your virgilant strike has cd
- refresh blood rage and tempest shield when it dissapear
- switch to purity of elements (replace punishment) on ele weakness mod map
- use warchief totem on boss fights or just when you need more dps and focus enemies on it
