Yriel's Fostering Minion Life

This thing dies way too quickly, I've really tried my best to give this chest a fair shot but with how much of the stats are tied to the minion, which runs in and suicides and gets insta killed within 20~ seconds of summoning him on maps, it's just not worth it.

Please take a look at fixing the minions defense. He needs at least 50-100% more life imo to be somewhat effective, even then, idk.

My Ice Golem which has 7000 life compared to his 17000, can survive full map runs, this thing dies every 30 seconds. I don't understand it.

Usually skills in items inherits gems socketed in that item.

It's should work with minion life/resists/speed gems among others.
Without any of those... well it's like a standalone summon skeleton... crap.

The biggest problem with most minions is that they have very little regen you can try using a Shaper's Seed or a The Oak with Necromantic Aegis

Right, I completely understand that but that sounds more like a cop out excuse to me. You can easily tell that the item was built without any sort of minion build in mind at all, almost none of the stats are useful to a summoner build, and forcing someone to link minion life in their 6L to make a chest viable, is not viable and not worthwhile at all.

I get what you're saying but it makes no sense at all being forced to run a unique just in order to make this unique work that is built around projectiles. It's not worth it and if that is the only choice then then that explains why most people don't bother running with it.

I'm just hoping the squishiness of the minion is an oversight and gets dealt with accordingly. Otherwise I don't see the reason in running the unique at all really.

ya its ur body armour on an attack build, youre not sticking minion life in your main skill links under any circumstances.

I tried the chest out for about 4 maps, had to resummon the little fker what seemed like every 3rd pack of mobs... yeah thats not happening, useless armour, sold it.

Yep.. pretty much in the same boat. Had the minion actually been decent, it seemed like quite a nice chest piece.

Anyone knowns if a cwdt can trigger the summon?
If yes, using it as 6S/5L with last socket as cwdt might work

I had that thought but ultimately if its an armour that can only use used as a 5L then its a dead concept. GGG have fucked up their game with div cards to the point where chains that bind were going for 3c within the first month of a league, you can buy a non corrupt 6L for 30 chaos on the market and use a single greed essence to have a usable 6L armour. Anyone who wants a 6L can have one, chance to bleed gem at lvl20 gives an outrageous flat phys damage bonus compared to this chest with its minion active, the attack speed one cant compared with faster attacks, the chaos damage flat is virtually non existent comapred to flat chaos gem, it can never compare to the power of a gem link and its easier to get a 6L than it is to get an unlinked version of this armour.


I like the idea of it, cant help but think it would feel cooler if we were not all forced to use golems on virtually every build. I already have a noisey, unwanted, bothersome little cretinous minion following me everywhere on every build, annoying me, taking up a skill slot on my bar, cluttering my screen, needing me to resummon him... every god damn build. I hate golems, one of the worst things they ever added to this game and essentially the chest ends up being having a second golem that dies in about 1/5 of the time your other golem dies, taking the point of wearing the chest with it every time.

any updates to this. never tried this one. where can we find the stats of the pet?
