Build Enhancing Items:

There are a few item choices you can make besides deciding what type of weapon you are going to be wielding.

Haemophilia Gloves these gloves does not just grant you extra damage at the same time as dropping potential extra help for higher HP pool & resistance stats. It also makes sure that enemies like the Porcupines that shoots projectiles upon death never does shoot their projectiles on death. This makes these gloves extremely potent for hardcore players as this build does not clear an entire screen of enemies in less than a second which can put you in harms way as your CWDT Immortal Call can proc on the first wave of kills and cause you to die as the IC is no longer up when you kill the remaining Porcupines. These gloves sorts that issue.

Carnage Heart this grants you tons of damage as well as some resistances, though you will lose some HP for wearing it and it can be replaced by a lot of other options that can still grant you HP & damage. Or hell, even wear a Bisco's Collar.

Kaom's Heart this grants you tons of HP but does drop socket possibilities in your chest. Wearing something like a Belly of the Beast grants you less life but some resistances & socket possibilities if you wish. Even a high life rolled rare chest piece would work well for the build.

Belt choices are rather vast, I personally prefer a rare one for the sake of increased Life as I feel that wearing more uniques would harm the comfortable playstyle the build promotes. The unique version are these:
Belt of the Deceiver which helps increased damage for bosses which we honestly don't really need.
The only unique option I would feel happy with wearing would be the Bisco's Leash due to some increased Quantitiy but mainly the comfortable and insane Rampage buffs skyrocketing your clear speed. (Keep in mind that you can wear the Rampage belt and once you start the Rampage you can switch the belt for something else and still have the Rampage buff. Though as soon as you lose the stacks you will have to reapply it which is why I personally feel like always wearing the belt if I chose to use it).

Defence & Utility

Thanks to the Gladiator ascendancy node Gratutious Violence enemies like Porcupines is no longer a problem for the build to handle (previously fixed by wearing Haemophilia gloves)

Hardcore players should opt to use the Blasphemy Enfeeble setup as well.

Utility is provided by Vaal Haste as well as Outmatch and Outlast gives the same % to gaining a frenzy charge on kill.[/quote]

Hey,

I'm retarded... https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Outmatch_and_Outlast 2h wep counts as MH. I'll update this asap.

]Outlast & Outmatch which grants us Frenzy Charges as well as abusing the Soul of Arakaali panetheon as mentioned below.

Pantheon Choices:

Pantheon List

Major God:

- Brine King
This allows you to avoid getting chain stunned.

Minor God:

- Soul of Yugul
This makes physical reflect enemies easier to manage, though you are still uncapable of running physical reflect modded maps.

__________________________________________________________________________

Skill-gems & Setups:

Main Bleed Skill:

Flicker Strike Approach (Softcore only):
- Flicker Strike, Multistrike, Brutality, Chance to Bleed, Melee Physical Damage, Deadly Ailments

Note: If you do this as a Gladiator you'll need to run Melee Splash and simply replace Deadly Ailments. (Also note that Melee Splash would be the first prio). You can run without Melee Splash if you run as a Slayer.

Sunder or Lacerate:
- Sunder/Lacerate, Deadly Ailments, Brutality, Chance to Bleed, Maim, Melee Physical Damage

Mobility:

- Leap Slam, Faster Attacks, Fortify, Blood Magic

CWDT:

- CWDT, Immortal Call

Utility:

- Vaal Haste, Portal, Ancestral Protector,

Auras:

- Haste

If Sunder or Lacerate in softcore is chosen, then add Herald of Ash
If Flicker Strike in softcore is chosen, then add Blasphemy + Poacher's Mark

If Hardcore you don't want to run Flicker Strike and will settle with either Lacerate or Sunder which means you want to add Blasphemy + Enfeeble

Note:
You can smack in Vulnerability curse in any way you see fit, either self-casting it for bosses or any other way you prefer.
Also, if you chose to run with the Haemophilia gloves you can switch out Herald of Ash for Arctic Armour to further scale your defence.

Skill-tree & Ascendancy Nodes:

Ascendancy Nodes:

This build takes a very straight forward approach to the ascendancy nodes.
You start with getting your bleed chance sorted by getting Blood in the Eyes first then the Gratuitous Violence node. After this you can chose which ever you prefer to get first out of these 2:
Outmatch and Outlast
Painforged

Flicker Strike Approach (Softcore only):
Merc lab gives you the Impact node. And you end Uber Lab node with Bane of Legends!

Sunder or Lacerate Approach:
Merc lab gives you Bane of Legends. And you end Uber Lab node with Headsman!

NOTE:
For some reason the skill trees are opting back to the 3.0 version I don't know why. You want to spec Vaal Pact once the skill trees are picking up the little dexterity node above the leech nodes (Vitality Void)

Axe Version:

Note:
No matter what version you chose, make sure you calculate your gear & tree choices to get 100% chance to bleed, this is VERY important.

Leveling skill-tree, 39 points

Leveling skill-tree, 61 points

Leveling skill-tree, 92 points

Finished skill-tree
Note: You'll have to respec 3 points near the Marauder after you've connected on the outer circle to get more points towards the life wheel.

Sword Version:

Note:
No matter what version you chose, make sure you calculate your gear & tree choices to get 100% chance to bleed, this is VERY important.

Leveling skill-tree, 40 points

Leveling skill-tree, 62 points

Leveling skill-tree, 85 points

Finished skill-tree
Note: You'll have to respec 3 points near the Marauder after you've connected on the outer circle to get more points towards the life wheel.

Mace Version:

Note:
No matter what version you chose, make sure you calculate your gear & tree choices to get 100% chance to bleed, this is VERY important.

Leveling skill-tree, 40 points

Leveling skill-tree, 62 points

Leveling Tips:

Use Cleave + Molten Strike for single target till you get Sunder & lvl 12, when you get Sunder you want to move over to using a 2h weapon, keep in mind that you can utilize the Physical DMG weapon recipe. You simply sell a 2H weapon to a vendor together with a magic or rare rarity Rustic Sash and 1 Whetstone this will grant you back a weapon with a Physical DMG % roll which you then can Augment for 1 more mod.

Sunder - Added Fire - Faster Attacks - Melee Physical

This will carry you all the way to lvl 70ish which is when you want to start looking at transitioning your setup to be a Bleed build. However, I would only bother recommending switching to the bleed approach when you get a 5L or 6L.

Bandits:

- Kill them all, they don't grant anything worth the skillpoints you'd lose.

Gearing & Stat Priorities

What base items to use:

The base items of this build really doesn't matter as we don't care about the base defensive stats such as armour(str), evasion(dex) or energy shield(int). So instead the base items will follow the stat priority listed in this guide.
However, the attribute requirement of the items will base how hard it is to chrome (color) which will be the only thing we will think about when planing our gearing.
So, if you need 4 blue sockets in an item the recommendation is to get an item that has Energy Shield (int) base or a hybrid base which includes Energy Shield (int).

By using this chrome calculating website: https://siveran.github.io/calc.html you can easily track how hard it will be to chrome the colors you need. This YouTube playlist can help a lot for new players and also includes a few tricks when coloring items with the "wrong attribute requirements" for your build: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuu-MdPs0Af8A4e3gSsJ1xDKNNcdFwY1r

Weapon Choices:

Your weapon choices are very wide, however, I personally prefer the Axe version but you can absolutely do this build with Swords & Maces as well. Though in my opinion the best weapon choices are Axe > Sword > Mace as the end-game choices for Axes & Swords are much better.

The optimal Axe choices for end-game are these:
High Budget: Atziri's Disfavour
Low Budget: Uul-Netol's Embrace Vaal Axe

The optimal Sword choices for end-game are these:
High Budget: Starforge
Low Budget: Doomsower

The optimal Mace choices for end-game are:
Marohi Erqi

Defensive Stats:

1. Life
2. Resistances

Offensive Stats:

1. Bleed Damage
1. Physical Damage (keep in mind that weapon specific physical damage from jewels for example does NOT increase the bleed damage)
1. Damage
1. Damage over Time

Jewels:

1. Bleed Damage
2. Physical Damage
2. Damage over Time
2. Damage

Flasks:

2x Seething Divine Life Flasks <w/e suffix>
1x w/e Basalt Flask of w/e (Can switch this for Topaz and Ruby Flask when facing Uber Atziri fights)
1x w/e Sulphur Flask of w/e
1x Ample Quicksilver Flask of Heat

Recommended Unique Items:

Recommended LvLing Uniques:
Spoiler
Wanderlust Boots
Goldrim
Pretty much any of the low lvl 2H unique weapons works very well for the lvling part as well.

Been playing cyclone/sunder slayer on HHC for awhile this league and was always curious about swapping him over to full phys bleed.

Thoroughly enjoying the playstyle as it kinda reminds me of pre nerf earthquake.

I do have one question though, is there a reason you chose deadly ailments over damage on full life? DOFH seems to have way more overall dps over deadly ailments...only slightly lower bleed dmg but way higher hit dmg.

Thanks for the guide Ghazzy and keep up the great content man!

Hey,

Cheers bro! :)

DOFH is better for the hit but the bleed damage is the focus in the end, clearing maps pretty much any tiers gets 1 shot or 1 shot + wait 2 sec for bleed dmg to tick. Which means that our focus will remain in the bleed damage which is why I haven't promoted Cyclone for this build.

Ultimately, I tell anyone to see my build guides more as guidelines rather than "this is the only way to play this build"

I'll keep it up the best I can bro <3

Hey! :D

I would suggest lvling with Sunder and staying away from the weapon specific nodes as described in the pathing during lvling in the guide :) It's just faster & stronger.
As you mention, you switch to Lacerate later on when you go Bleed with the desired weapon.

Hey Ghazzy, thanks for the guide!
Just a few questions. For flicker strike would you recommend going a sword or axe?
Would terminus est be a better option than doomsower/starforge?
Thanks!

Hey,

Doesn't matter what weapon you chose for FS. Though you will need to use Blasphemy Poacher's Mark for the sake of Frenzy Generation and be careful in the start so you get a few charges up to let the build roll :)
(Also dont overuse it vs Harbingers)

The funny thing about this approach is that it works without Terminus or Oros. (Not to mention your low crit chance making Terminus soso in the first place)
