Your servers are shit.

I've been playing with the latency metric up lately just to see what's going on. My normal latency is 10-20, but I've seen it spike as high as 800 during the more laggy parts.
Oddly enough, it's not laggy during the times I would expect it to be, but at like 3-4 AM. I have no idea what's causing it. |

" And if that shit had been the only ones. Either those shit servers can't handle the pressure or GGG's script kiddies level developers did their usual job of introducing more huge bugs. League has been on for a while now, yet performance is once again at retarded shit levels. I was lenient when it was considered to be in development but that's not the case anymore. At least not in the sense it was when it was Beta. Remove HC league or whatever if you're incapable to deliver a service. Note: Different topic, but about the bugs thingie, look at that chaos degen bug and how long it took them to correct the problem.. "Hey lads we made a character destroying bug and we're goign to take our sweet time to correct it! Oh you died because we're failures and want you char back? Go fuck yourself please :)!" |
|
" Ah the forum's official white-knight caught up with us lads. Let me educate you in a nice way. No. One. Gives. A. Fuck. When people buy a mobile connection (or anything else for that matter) you expect them to excuse the business they bought it from when it constantly fails to deliver its service properly? Please get lost... Also no F2P bullshit, if POE was free we would not be playing it. Also if you really want to play it, you're gonna to have to get quite a few of those stash tabs at the very least. (Pretty sure the money generated by GGG has been vastly superior to D3 considering they have a constant stream of income.) |

" Doesn't change the fact that he's right. The vast majority of "UR SERVERS R SHIT" threads come from people who have made no effort to diagnose the issue they are experiencing, know nothing about how things work, and often times are bitching about something that really doesn't have anything to do with GGG or their servers. There are very simple ways to *prove* that a problem IS GGG's fault, but it is very rare that anyone actually makes that effort. Guess what? When they DO provide that kind of data, things can actually be addressed. Posting "FIX YOUR FUCKING SERVERS GGG SHIT BLAH BLAH"... doesn't accomplish anything. U MAD?

" Stop it. All the times where the WinMTR showed problems closer to the GGG's servers and not to the players, like the last 3 nodes, not the first ones, player/server side, us players got the same answers: "change providers, wait for issues to be resolved" etc. Cool. /s And just so you know, they haven't manage to fix a goddamn skill interaction with monsters as some us (of these that happen to use a fast attacking multistrike Lightning Strike setup that hits at >10 APS and AMD graphic cards) still wait for a solution since 2.4.1 And if a goddamn Threadripper and a Vega won't be enough for PoE, I'll just remain "in the 'Verse", or just play anything else as these last few days, I can't seem to be able to get a stable connection without CRAZY spikes, and I'm not even playing HC. Heck, with a crit focused build, in a Breach and with a lot other monsters on screen, the calculations server side are a problem, especially when things just decide to go "haywire". Unfortunately, the game will not get a standalone offline version for a lot of time, but as soon as it gets it, it will actually be at the pinnacle of it's existence, as it could be experienced by all, always, as the creators actually wanted to convey the experience. Until then, "servers are @#~^" is real at least 10% of time for 10% of players. @#~^ happens, but no one can force you to tolerate that without expecting improvements. PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Sep 8, 2017, 2:34:18 PM

"In short... it's a lot more complex that you think it is."
In short... software-users (and customers in general) DGAF about engineering excuses and will only be appeased by them briefly, if at all. That being said, personally I don't have a problem with connectivity the vast majority of the time, and I consider it to be among the least of PoE's problems. (FWIW I'm on USEast. Shrug.) "Until then, "servers are @#~^" is real at least 10% of time for 10% of players." So, in other words, a complete non-issue as far as the dev team, and most of the players are concerned. " Of course, as those 700-1000 players are either "addicted" or just experience that a small amount of time so it's "inconsequencial". Or maybe they just quit and either try their luck next "time", or find their "poison" anywhere else. PoE has it's niche, and it's quite happily uncontested for the time being, but the future might hold a few surprises for everyone, and it actually would be in GGG's best interest to start paying a lot more attention for all it's players, as it already "balances" around <1%... " Another poor pleb popping on that thread to pop non-sense. Go back to start you dim-wit, even known streamers are getting fked left and right. Also POE is a service we pay for. Oh but wait I can already see some WK invoking that 21st century miasma that "supporting" is, "no bitching the game is free!", not. There's way more money here than D3 could ever dream off. People need to stop supporting so they move their lazy asses. BACK ON TOPIC: EU Servers, late night - low peak gaming, not a problem. 2 p.m in the afternoon, rubber-banding and shit. Servers are scrubbing hard. Support my a$$, start delivering Edit: Thread is for visibilty, so that people stop supporting half-assed release that we're still testing 1 month in, cause anyway the average pleb can't piece the set of layered information in this thread together lol. I mainly run summoner and I know for a fact that 3.0.0+ has been terrible for the servers. It's been happening with such astonishing frequency that I'm disinclined to keep playing this build. After your game crashes 4+ times in a day with high level spectres in tow, it really begins to wear on your sanity. I can't even play with my friends who appreciate having a summoner in the party to protect them, because they crash just as often as I do because of my presence.
I didn't even remotely get this much issue back in 2.6. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! 3.0 looks heaps better till your game turns into pixel town and still crashes anyway.... the lazy resolution fix for xbox didn't even bring it inline with the 60 fps lies they told when hyping it, but we all knew that if after 10 years they couldn't get a stable frame rate on pc, there was little chance of that happening.
