Incorrect "My Games" location with folder redirection

The workaround doesn't work for me or I'm missng something.

My PoE folder creates an empty folder hierarchy where it looks like it wants to save prefs and screenshots (folders only, no files).

I deleted that tree and made a link to the network location so they matched:

F:\Games>mklink /d "F:\Games\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\exchange\users" \\exchange\users
symbolic link created for F:\Games\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\exchange\us
ers <<===>> \\exchange\users

Now if I browse through the folders I see a preferences file with the correct attributes listed (screen resolution etc.) when I set them, yet it does not appear to read this file when the game launches; I still need to set all options when starting the gaem, the minimap fails to save on zone/portal.

Confirming the game launches as admin with UAC prompt. Running Win 8.1 if that has relevance.

How is the debug started? I'd like to confirm I'm using the right paths.
Running as admin is irrelevant - it's not necessary (well, shouldn't be on a correctly configured desktop).

The folder hierarchy created in the PoE directory is erroneous - create c:\exchange\users or f:\exchange\users.

Awesome - thank you!

Tip for GGG: If you don't fix this bug users won't see the daily deal flash up so it will impact your MT sales.

Thanks for the detailed reports, guys.

Yeah, that's what you get when you have sysadmins who like to do crazy things like implement AD/GPO/Folder Redirection on their home networks. :D

Cheers!

1.3 Fixed a bug that prevented Path of Exile working properly when run with the settings file redirected over a network.

Yay!
