How to craft 5L ? 5 socket or 6 socket

Yes i read the guide about crafting, but many ppl tell me that is not true.
Lets start again and..
It is easier to craft 5l item with 6 socket? Or with 5 socket? Which one has higher chance to make 5l?

Some ppl tell me that 6 socket item has better chance to get 5l, and some ppl tell me that 5 socket item is easier to do 5l.

Im confused now..

PS. Lost all my orbs to buy 150 fusings and make 5l item with 5s. And i fault. I was shocked when someone tell me that its not possible to do it with 5socket and i need 6s.

Explain me this..

Regards

It is always easier to make a 6 socketed item into a 5 linked than using a 5 socketed one.
Simple math, you have 1 more socket to play around with.

It is ofcourse fully possible to make a 5 socketed one into a 5L, it's just harder.

It is possible to make a 5 link with only 5 sockets (whoever told you otherwise is retarded).
It is easier to make a 5 link with 6 sockets because you have multiple outs to accomplish it (and thus more chance).
So it is more easier to craft 5l item with 6 socket than 5 socket
knew that!

Mmmmmm, I doubt that. I have never seen a 5L on 6S gear with the bottom 5 sockets connected. A 5L on 6S gear always starts with the first 5 sockets connected. Is it just a gut feeling or statistically proven?

Can someone do a math why 6s is easier to do 5l?

I want to see formula and how u calculate that

This is untrue. I know this is just my word but they do exist and I have seen many.

We don't know if maybe the user interface simply shows it like that. But if anything, you always have the added possibility of rolling a 6 link which makes it overall a better choice.

There is not enough user statistical information to confirm or deny any thesis whether a 5 link on it's own is easier crafted with 5 or 6 sockets, but common sense would still dictate 6 sockets should be beneficial (or equal the least).

We don't know the exact math on fusing. But there are a lot of long standing topics debating this. So you might want to check other parts of the forum for this.
The second post from the bottom shows the other possible configuartion:
