I Need Some Help Gearing for Act 6
I haven't spent time looking at your character so I can't help you there, but I just wanted to say that you should not feel bad for buying levelling gear. If you spend money now, you will easily see a return on your investment by being able to progress through the content quicker. On top of that, once you outgrow the gear you bought, you can sell it on to someone else or keep it in case you want to create a second or third or fourth character!
Act 6 is quite hard and throws a lot of elemental damage at you immediately after you have your resists lowered. I have seen many people on these forums have difficulty with this act, you're not alone. Good luck and have fun! |

dont be afraid to spend a few points in some of the better resist nodes, you can always back out of them later
I dont see any any key!

Definitely, I've been prioritizing as many of the resist nodes as I can justify. Diamond Skin is super nice, and I'll probably take its entire little wheel as well.
And that's a good point, locobilbo. I imagine I should expect an equal return when I'm done with the items. Maybe I'll do some shopping. |

" didn't look at your char, but there are some stuff u could u use like: purity of elements aura - this will help you with resists get resistances from passive until u find some nice res gear use haku + elreon to craft res on armor / rings amulets keep in mind when using chromes that: evasion gear will roll green sockets most of the times armor will roll red sockets energy shield will roll blue so let's say u'r trying to get 4 green out of some energly shield helm, don't do it unless that's really worth the effort u should be ok by capping res and invest some alt orbs on weapons (go for spell dmg if u'r caster, 50% is fine; go for physical dmg if you'r not caster, a 90-100% will be just fine for maps, maybe a bit slow on bosses, but still fine) | |
There's been a lot of good info in the thread, but to answer the OP's original question, to grind for gear, just find a zone that's as close to your level as possible that you can clear fairly quickly. Then run it over and over.
That said, as most people have mentioned, it's far, far more efficient to just purchase some leveling gear. At this point in the league, you can get perfectly good pieces for 1 chaos or less. That small investment now will more than pay for itself. |

" This. PoE's drops suck ass. It's designed with trading in mind as the individuals experience is pretty bad. Take your currency and go shopping. |

Yep, gonna do some shopping today. I don't have many chaos to work with but I could probably find something.
There's always been some part of me, though, that feels like buying my gear in a loot-driven game is tantamount to cheating. That's why I didn't really consider poe.trade as a first resort. |

" me too... but for POE to be a loot-driven game, loot actually needs to drop. Grim Dawn, Torchlight 1/2, Titan Quest, Diablo 2 ... those are loot-driven games. POE is - by design - a trade-driven game. Chris' take on RNG is here to fuck over anyone who thinks otherwise. I tried to fight that for the better part of 4 years but it's the sad truth. hate for trade is what occasionally drives me towards SSF nowadays, not love for loot.
