Operating System Crash From "luafv" File System Filter

After a week or two into the league, while playing PoE, my entire system will freeze, forcing a reboot. This mostly happened during area transitions except for today, when PoE crashed, then froze the OS after reloading the game and when talking to Lilly Roth in Act 10. Looking at the Event Viewer, an entry for "File System Filter 'luafv' [File Version] has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager." can be found. 1-2 seconds after that, the entire OS crashes and an Error event "The previous system shutdown at [Time] was unexpected." is generated.

OS is Vista 64 bit
Playing on DX11
Engine Multithreading enabled

I'll probably switch to DX9 for now and see if that fixes anything.
