Act 9 and 10, sorely disappointed
it started on act 9 "The Quarry" map. Not only is it the worst map in the game, it tests the limits of POE's fragile game engine. It exposes the poor pathing algorithms and game crashes when loading a new zone, or when going back to the same zone after it has crashed. Now in act 10 I can barely get by the cathedral map. It suffers from the same problem, the map is either simply too big for your game engine to handle or it has too many mobs. How did it pass QA? the experience is completely ruined.
What's going on here is obvious. Loading a cleared zone with all the data makes the game run out of memory. It never crashes on a fresh zone, only a clear one. It's also an easy fix. Give me your source code and I'll fix it for you. Last bumped on Aug 24, 2017, 9:19:51 AM
