Frozen for several seconds with Auxium

Hey, this might not be a bug but it seems fishy.

I have 13k ES, 75% cold resist, and I'm wearing:
Rarity: Unique
Auxium
Crystal Belt
--------
Requirements:
Level: 79
--------
Item Level: 85
--------
+79 to maximum Energy Shield
--------
+52 to maximum Mana
+66 to maximum Energy Shield
Chill and Freeze effect on you is based on 65% of Energy Shield
12% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
0.2% of Attack Damage Leeched as Mana per Power Charge
--------
As long as the soul is unfettered, so is the body.

I'm in a Shaped Cemetary (monster lvl 80), no map mods, and occasionally I get frozen by the Undying Cultists.
Their mods are:
Extra Cold Damage
Cast Freezing Pulse
Resists Elemental Damage

The thing is, I'm frozen for several seconds which seems a bit high given my 13k ES (equivalent to 8500 Life, via Auxium). Is that pretty normal?

How much damage are they doing?
Im Running a Low Life Righteous Fire guardian with Auxium.

Level 86 with 9000 Energy Shield with 81% cold res

so unless I'm off it should be:

9000 * 0.65 = 5850 ehp.

Compared to my 7k hp char that almost never gets frozen with 75% cold res,
My guardian takes (roughly) 1/5 less damage because of the 81% cold res,
so I take 5850 * 1.2 = 7020 to calculate my ehp against cold and I seem to get frozen by pretty much anything.

Feels wrong.

Same deal with a labyrinth cold damage totem - several seconds of freeze, despite Auxium. Only happened once and I was unable to reproduce - after being frozen I went back to the totem and stood next to the totem and watched, and it only chilled me (about 1.1k dmg off my 13k total). If it froze me at all, it wasn't noticeable. Maybe it relates to crits?
I totally agree with this thread, I am running purity of ice as well and I have 78% cold resist and almost 10K ES and seem to get permafrozen running Auxium, doesn't seem to add up to me.

Lets do the maths:

As per wiki:

Base freeze duration is 60 milliseconds for every 1% of the target's maximum life (before party scaling) dealt by Cold damage, up to a maximum of 50%. If the duration would be below 0.3 seconds, the freeze effect is not applied.

Therefore if the hit is less than 5% of your life then you do not get frozen.

In the case of Auxium min and max freeze should be calculated as follows:

Minimum Freeze Hit (0.3 seconds) (after mitigation) = Energy Shield * 65% * 5%
Maximum Freeze Hit (3 seconds) (after mitigation) = Energy Shield * 65% * 50%

So assuming you have 10K ES and 75% cold resistance:

Minimum Freeze Hit (before mitigation) = (10,000 * 65% * 5%)/25% = 1,300
Minimum Freeze Hit (after mitigation) = 4,333.33 * 25% = 325

Maximum Freeze Hit (before mitigation) = (10,000 * 65% * 50%)/25% = 13,000
Maximum Freeze Hit (after mitigation) = 4,333.33 * 25% = 3,250

Therefore to be perma-frozen with 10K ES and 75% mitigation you need to take after mitigation cold hits of 3,250.

I understand with ES you are definitively at a disadvantage to life builds but you just feel so much pain with freeze even with Auxium, particularly after the ES nerf.
