Micro-stuttering in 3.0
Ever since the newest patch I've had consistent micro-stuttering with Lockstep enabled.
I've tried to adjust other settings, especially some of the new video settings, but they have nothing to do with it. It happens all the time while moving even when no skills are used or mobs/spells are on screen. It also isn't accompanied by any FPS drops nor latency problems. So I think it's just something to do with Lockstep. I've put on Predictive and the problem seems to go away but of course Predictive is awful and I'm not going to go back to 2013 and the de-sync issues. Just a heads up on this would be nice please to let me and the many, MANY others I've talked to who are having this issue. As long as I know you're aware of this GGG, I'll be satisfied to wait for a solution. Thanks. Last bumped on Sep 18, 2017, 5:04:02 PM

I'm having the exact same issue. I've found nothing to fix it. I've checked bios Energy Saving settings (a former reason for this), drivers, etc. etc. and nothing wrong there. And I have a machine/ internet connection that is more than capable of playing POE.
I have 10ms, and 165 frames. But still the stutter. Maybe lockestep, but it's pretty integral to the game now, and not playing with it leads to dying randomly in HC. Hopefully a solution is found.. |

packet loss and/or latency...that's the trade off on using lockstep instead of desyncing in predictive.
You'll just want to show where the lag is coming from by running a test https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789 Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
