Can we have Recount in PoE?

I'm intrested to see how each of my abilities do damage. It would give me accurate info for testing build

Open the character tab and click on whatever skill icon you want from the bar and all the stats will be shown in the list below... or hover the mouse over the skill on the skillbar for a simpler version of this.
Also Path of Building...
It would be really nice to see actual skill's damage.
For example - numbers above monsters.

Oh god, please no. Those number fireworks are what bothers me most about D3 and other games handling it in a similar fashion.

"number fireworks" are precisely what's missing in PoE. It should be a toggle-able option that you can disable if you don't want. I do.
I dunno they'll never show any numbers b'cause y'know then the magick of poe will disappear.
If i remember right the devs once said that the way the game works would make this extremely hard

something about damage being sent in packets and the packets not taking their origin so the game tracks damage but to really how its dealt or something like that

people can't handle the fucking effects of the normal gfx even when turned down, what do you think will happen when they can use floating numbers which would be spammed several times per second per monster?

It's a shit idea, it servers next to no purpose...an utter waste of time to implement.

That and GGG toyed with it way back and decided against it.

Who are these "people" you speak of? I don't turn graphics down. Why would I do that. I don't group for the reasons you're implying ( too many "fireworks", can't see shit) but that has nothing to do with the absence of displaying damage numbers. If it was implemented, and you don't like it, turn it off! What's it to ya if others want it.
