Soul of Abberath Challenge Bug

I fully upgraded the Abberath Pantheon-thing (killing the Ashen Wood boss with the Vessel) and talked to Sin and so on. The Pantheon-Screen shows that it is upgraded, but the challenge is not done.
  Hope this will get fixed soon, dont want to upgrade my others if it doesnt count to the challenges. Last bumped on Aug 27, 2017, 7:40:38 AM

Was about to report this bug. Capturing "The Eroding One" (tier3 caverns boss) from Soul of the Brine King gives the challenge reward you are looking for

congirm bug with soul of abberath - didnt get completed after capturing abberath, but completed after capturing "the erroding one" in caver map.

is this bug gonna get fixed at all? i dont want to waste another vessel on brine king.
