A good starter Sword n Board build?

I'm brand new to this game and things are mind-boggling to say the least. I've got a few friends to guide my hips so far and i'm following this here nice guide.

But ayyyy I do enjoy using swords and whatnot. What are good starter sword n shield builds for me to use?
