5-Links and you

How are you guys so lucky at getting 5 links? I can level a character to mapping and not see one 5 link drop, nor do I have the adequate amount of fuses to craft one via master crafting. But I see streamers all the time with a 5 link, at least, early on in a league. Outside of a Tabula, I can never get beyond 4link...therefor I feel limited in the game.

You buy one. The price is usually 1 to 2 chaos orb.

You can seek out Navali, I just got the prophecy "The Jeweller's Touch" that creates a 5 link 5 sockets item with a single Jeweller's Orb. Have not done it yet though, searching for some good armour.

If you are like me playing SSF here is a few tips:
1. from appropriate level onward, on every level up check all armor vendors: just during leveling two chars (69/76) and I'm sure I forgot on some level ups. 2. Dont waste jewelers. Unless you found a piece you absolutely want to use, dont. Find preferebly a 6 socketed base that will roll the colors you need and fuse that (6 sockets should be better than 5 cause more options of rolling 5 links thus better chances plus the odd chance of a 6 link ;)) 3. Dont overstress on linking stuff. Pick a skill that will function on a 4link just fine. 4. The new Orb of binding is awesome for getting four linked helmet, boots and gloves. Try not to waste fusings on those pieces. 5. level the appropriate masters and have them in your hideout for discount alts - jewelers - fusing trading up. Hope that helps you regards |

All random drops. Or, if you play in trade leagues, just buy a white base. Getting a tabula rasa is also rather easy. Farm for Humility divination cards in the Blood Aqueduct, Act 9. (in my current RNG experience, the drop rates in Channel are quite shitty, stealth nerf?) Besides what derriesen said, you can also try to roll +sockets affix on boxes, or even the fully linked one, tho that one is quite rare. But I wouldn't bother, just play the game: fast clear + quantity = win. E: also dont forget about vaaling boxes. Every league i find at least 1 or 2 Int/Dex items with 5 links, though i never play Shadows ^^"

Yes. Vendor's stock resets when you level up.

While some might enjoy rushing content and levels, I take it slower and try to maximize little gains over time. Buying 3-linked 3 color items from vendors over the course of the game nets a really nice amount of chromes for example. Collecting stonehamemrs / rock crushers / gavels for chisel recipe and quality flasks for baublers etc. are all methods of countering the cannot trade for resources starving moments. :D regards |
