Where can I find the FROST PREACHER?
I was able to find a rare FROST PRIEST but it did not complete my prophecy,

After doing about 15 crypt runs, including a few in which I killed groups of frost preachers accompanied by a rare skeleton shooting balls of ice (no way to confirm for sure he was a frost preacher himself), the Whispering Ice still won't drop for me.

It's especially annoying in 3.0, where that area is a REALLY low level. Revamping prophecies to account for this should probably be on GGG's shortlist.

Incidentally, https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/A_Whispered_Prayer says that a Frost Priest must be killed, whereas the prophecy I have specifies a Frost Preacher. Was this a monster update in 3.0 that has now bugged this prophecy?



Edit: OK, I did 10 more runs, and didn't see any frost preachers. Perhaps it was frost priests that I saw before.

But my Prophecy definitely specifies frost preacher, and not frost priest. And yet the wikipedia has an image that definitely specifies frost priest.

It seems reasonable to assume that this prophecy is bugged, but I'll wait a bit and see if anyone else posts in here with their own experiences.

(I was really hoping to play a Whispering Ice build in this new league, too! The only reason I didn't start with the build is because I had no idea when--or if--I'd get this prophecy.)

There are two crypts. Act 2 and Act 7. Try Act 7 maybe?

It's definitely not the Act 7 Crypt; those are Frost Bishops. Act 2 Crypt is still Frost Priest, though I didn't find any rares to test if it would trigger with mismatched names anyway.

They probably just added this enemy to another area and tweaked the name slightly. If someone else hasn't found it before then, I'll pay closer attention on my next character. I have this prophecy too and would like to give a life based version of the whispering ice build a shot at some point.

Anyone able to complete this yet? I did 20-30 crypt 1 runs in both act 1 and and 7 and finally gave up.

Have we gotten an update on this? Still been unable to complete this prophecy.

Probably spent about 45 minutes clearing crypt in act 1 with no success. Also checked the act 7 crypt but their name was even more different.

So yes I am pretty sure this is broken.

They mentioned a fix in todays patch notes.

I just completed this prophecy, found the frost preacher in "The Catacombs" in A3.

Can confirm that a Catacombs run in Act 3 completed the prophecy in no time.
