no it's not dumb. The servers are not up yet, but they did so people already trying to login are put in a queue, so that when the servers are up, the connection requests will come one by one from the queue that is already there, and not burning the login server instantly. And people sending login request at that time will go to the queue instead.
they were pretty smart I'd say, preventing hundreds or even thousands of requests hitting at the same time :) |
