Remember I wanted to describe it in an easy way as possible.
To your initial question, yes download the torrent when available (utorrent is smallest if you are concerned in data usage) Add it in the normal client (not beta) and when asked to replace klick yes. Do Not try to run the game before servers went down and live goes up, this will make you download the old files over again. No Problem,
