Out of the blue...What's the avg IQ of the POE player?

I don't get it. Do people think poe is a complex game that requires thought and mechanical skill to excel at and thus would correlate to players having above average IQ?

You remember commander keen from the 90s? That's right, that was me. I have an IQ of 314.
Depends on their rarity and ilvl. I believe there is a T1 prefix with +125-145 IQ. You need at least ilvl 69 to roll that mod though.
People usually have 110-120. So theoretically, most of poe folks are in that range.

I personally have 135-140. Did that twice. But having more IQ didnt give me anything special, not that i could feel better because i know more, but the opposite. The more you know, you will wish to know less.

Your optimism is amusing. My understanding is that IQ tests were developed as part of the broader epistemic shift toward 'quantifying' and 'rationalizing' human characteristics, which as you likely know, is under the broader umbrella of statistical inference and reasoning. This broad epistemic shift was imbricated in the eugenics movement of early 20th century US and, as we all know, influenced Nazi Germany and their terrifying campaign for 'racial purity'. Simply put, IQ tests were (and are) largely used as tools, not for altruistic or benevolent purposes, but for prohibitive and exclusionary agendas.
