Clouded Ridge never spawns via "Hidden Vaal Pathways"

Hello all,
Bug reference: 4.272.793.408. I have activated the prophecy "Hidden Vaal Pathways" in Normal. When I enter the Ledge (Lv6 - Normal) the Vaal-side-area never spawns. I have created multiple instances (around 75) at the waypoint, but the prophecy was never activated. By the way: Yesterday, I have tried multiple times to spawn the Clouded Ridge without the prophecy - this didn't work either. (Seems I won't be able to complete the Vaal Boss Challenge.) ...I forgot to mention: I didn't use any league stones when I entered the ledge. (No active mods - just basic game.)

Your minimap is too transparent for me to see. Did you actually walk around and look for the vaal area? Kinda looks like you didn't walk away from the waypoint at all.

Hidden Vaal Pathways is (until 3.0 drops) a difficulty-restricted prophecy. Does yours perhaps say that it will only apply in Cruel or only in Merciless?

Hi all, thanks for the replies
"Did you actually walk around and look for the vaal area?" => I created around 75 instances - when I received a higher drop in the Frame Time I explored the map. Screenshot shows an unexplored area. However - when the prophecy takes place, it should be removed from the Prophecy-list anyway. "Does yours perhaps say that it will only apply in Cruel or only in Merciless?" => It says "Can only be completed in Normal". My char is still in the first playthrough, so it should work. I even sealed the prophecy - created a new char and rushed to the ledge. It still did not work. Are the any circumstances that may prevent the generation of Vaal areas? Does my char need a specific level? Thanks and Greetings |

I don't know what the problem is. I don't think character level had anything to do with vaal areas spawning or prophecies proccing. But maybe clouded ridge needs a higher area level to spawn.

Prophecies either do trigger in an area, or will never trigger in an area (you only ever needed to create one instance). Sealing and re-acquiring them resets their "zone list", if you will. Hidden Vaal Pathways should trigger on any area that spawns Vaal side areas to my knowledge, but it's worth a shot.
It might be that Vaal side areas simply need a higher level zone. Hmm. Can't really find anything on it, but that would be my best guess after the second character. Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Aug 1, 2017, 5:57:39 AM

I've had this problem this league. Konu, Maker of Wind is the only vaal boss beast I still need, and I can't get a Clouded Ridge to spawn, with Hidden Vaal Pathways among my prophecies. I've been running The Ledge four or five times a day just to see if I could get Clouded Ridge to show up, on its own or from the prophecy, and it hasn't yet. Bug report # 1,192,180,474.
