CI vs Low Life

If all the ES changes remain the same in launch, I fail to see any reason to go CI instead of low life for spell casters.

CI advantages:

+300/400 ES from chest.
Chaos immunity (pretty much negated by presence of chayula).

Low life advantages:

1-2 extra auras.
30% damage multiplier.
can use presence of chayula (basically means you get +200 ES over CI becuase CI most of the time has to use eye of chayula).

I guess CI is alot cheaper to get going, but if you got all the currency required, why would you ever go CI as a spell caster?

You wouldn't unless your build is fucking terrible Chaos damage is not threatening enough the entire point of CI was the 15% more node and that's obviously gone.

Chaos damage not being a threat is an urban legend, I've played several hybrid builds where I always tried to get positive chaos res values and stuff like fart zombies with damage mods regularly gave me heart attacks.

Unless you're a high end wealthy player good luck getting a Presence of Chayula with 10% breach spawn rate in a temp league.

Some builds also want to use a different chestpiece, like Soul Mantle is amazing now for totem casters, Infernal Mantle, etc.

There is also loris lantern unique ring https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lori%27s_Lantern

which basically gives around 15% more hitpoints against hits to low life builds same as CI more es node. So, you not only can get back flat es from chayula amulet but also that hp multiplier from ring for low life build.
